Unlike our other projects, we did not turn the saturation down on this project. We decided to play with the genre of the music and turn contrast up and brightness down. This made the colours ‘pop’, becoming more vivid and eye catching; high octane. This suited the image we wanted to get, although we had to be careful as it made some images horrible due to lighting changes. It also conformed to the uses and grats theory that an audience is satisfied when they get what they expect as well as a few new things. As grading up on video doesn't normally happen in music videos, especially of this genre, we as conforming to this theory as well as being justified by the lighter, funner atmosphere of this song.
We use grading to make the picture look more professional and we all think this grading worked.
